Raquel helped me improve my Spanish by a lot. She was able to quickly evaluate my level and explain her methodology. I took classes every day as I had a limited time in Valencia. She would wittingly engage me in a conversation that caused me to practice speaking for about half the (1 hour) class while she corrected my vocabulary and grammar before going on to the lesson for the day. Maria built up my vocabulary, comprehension and speaking skills, so much so that I feel far more confident conversing in Spanish. I loved that Maria spoke Spanish to me all of the time, which gave me the chance to really feel immersed in the language (and no excuse to slip back into English!).
